Increase your credit restriction

If you are on academic warning or academic probation and need permission to increase your 10-credit registration restriction, you may request this by doing the following:

1

Meet with a program advisor

If you believe you have good reasons to increase your 10 credit registration maximum, schedule a meeting with a program advisor to come up with a plan for how you will be successful with a heavier course load.

2

Email your request

Email your request for an adjustment to your credit maximum to academicwarning@ufv.ca and the advisor with whom you met. In your email state:

  • the number of credits you are requesting
  • why an increase to the credit maximum is academically in your best interest

Requests for a change to the 10 credit registration maximum are only applicable to your next semester and will need to be re-submitted each semester.
