Thrive Together UFV

Welcome to Thrive Together UFV
Thrive Together UFV is a peer-led wellness initiative designed to help students connect, move, and grow together. Whether you're new to fitness or looking for a consistent workout buddy, this program offers a supportive and inclusive space to build healthy habits and meaningful relationships.

Thrive Together UFV pairs students with Peer Leaders to engage in regular physical activity together. The goal is to foster accountability, motivation, and social connection through movement, not coaching or formal training.

Who Can Join:
ALL UFV STUDENTS are welcome, regardless of fitness level or experience.

What You’ll Do:
- Coordinate directly with your Thrive partner to organize activities
- Choose activities that suit both the peer leader and participant (e.g., walking, gym workouts, yoga, sports)
- Communicate respectfully and professionally
- Contact the campus recreation team if problems arise or support is needed

Leadership/Volunteer Opportunity
Students can also apply to become Peer Leaders. Leaders receive training in inclusive recreation, communication, and mentorship. This is a wonderful opportunity to build leadership experience and volunteer hours.

Safety & Boundaries
- All sessions take place on campus or in approved group settings
- Peer leaders are not personal trainers or therapists
- All sessions after dark must be held on campus
- Respectful communication and professional boundaries are always expected

Activities you can explore on Campus:
- The Summit Fitness Centre (Abbotsford)
- Movement Studio (Chilliwack)
- Group fitness classes
- Recreational drop-in sports
- Outdoor walks and trails
