Biography

Dr. Linda Pardy is the Associate Dean of Students in the College of Arts at the University of the Fraser Valley (UFV) and an Associate Professor, specializing in workplace learning. She has supported 1000s of Liberal Arts students transition from education-to-employment and was awarded the UFV Teaching Excellence Award because students recognized the significant impact, she has made to their individual career success.

Her research examines access to career and experiential learning, the infusion of work integrated learning into academic programming, and challenges faculty and students face related to career education, emerging employer needs, and the future of work. Linda has designed web-based resources, lead research projects, and served as a consultant for various provincial organizations including the BC Council on Admissions and Transfer (BCCAT), Education Planner BC, and WorkBC. This work led to the career mapping data project that is foundational to her research today. She contributes her scholarship both nationally and internationally, and continues to develop leading career education practices designed for higher education.
