Giving Tuesday

Thank you UFV community for your generosity!

Together, we raised $35,278 on November 28, Giving Tuesday.

Your gift — big or small — went a long way in supporting UFV students and their families facing food insecurity in the Fraser Valley and beyond.

Your generosity makes an impact.

A gift of $25 provides 1 food hamper.

A gift of $75 provides weekly groceries for a family of four.

A gift of $250 funds the student breakfast program for one week.

A student volunteer stocks the food bank shelves at UFV.

You can still make a gift to UFV students through the "Donate now" or "Make a gift" buttons.

“Being able to work together with the food bank, whether it is to fill food hampers or assist at the breakfast program, is so meaningful to me. As someone who at times depended on these services to get food in my belly, it means everything to me that I can give back and be the person to provide these essential services to other people. If you are ever in need, please do not hesitate to reach out to the UFV-SUS food bank!”

I believe the Food Bank to be a beneficial program to support students looking for additional assistance with food security, especially in light of the increased food prices. Working with the Food Bank is a rewarding experience knowing that these items will be used to provide assistance to our community. It makes me recognize that we need more funding to keep providing this service to students to fulfil the demand for better food security on campus.
