Student Accounts

Student computer accounts allow access to UFV computers, network files, and myUFV while on and off campus.

Access to any computer on all campuses is restricted to currently registered UFV students. Student accounts are created based on the student ID number located on a student's Campus Card.

Can’t find your student ID number?

Students must visit the Office of the Registrar in person and provide ID such as their Campus Card or other government issued ID and your student ID number will be provided.

Note: Student ID numbers will not be given out over the phone.

How do I log into a UFV computer, my network files, or myUFV for the first time?

  • Upon admittance to UFV, you will be sent an email with your student number and a link to start the password reset process.
  • Clicking on this link will take you to the password reset site (password.ufv.ca).
  • Enter your student number into the site and click next. This will take you to a new webpage; do not close your browser at this step.
  • An email containing a security code will be sent to the personal email address you have registered with the University of the Fraser Valley.
  • Use this security code to reset your password on the open browser page and click next.
  • You should now see a message stating that your password was reset.
  • You can now log in to the UFV applications.

If you have web access at a computer, you can reset your password using the self-serve password reset site at password.ufv.ca:
