Alanna began working as Faculty in the UFV Nursing Program in 2025. Her nursing experiences have included working in Emergency Rooms, Rural Travel Nursing, Oncology Nursing and Nursing Leadership. She completed her Masters of Leadership in 2022, and loves learning about and doing the work of developing people and culture. She is passionate about the development of nurses to better allow them to find fulfillment and satisfaction in their careers through finding mastery in work, developing the ability to create supportive cultures, and living in alignment with personal values.

She believes that teaching is relational space where both students and teachers develop. She aims to create an environment for exploration of new thoughts, a safe space to try and fail and try again. She works to develop a reflective classroom or clinical setting that not only presents but embodies the theories presented.
