Tl'etl'axel: student orientation

Smart Start online orientation

To help you get ready for your semester, we have created Smart Start — a non-credit online orientation course that covers everything you need to know about studying at UFV. Whether you’re totally new to studying at UFV, or a current UFV student who wants an update on what learning at UFV will look like, Smart Start will set you up for success.

How to access Smart Start

If you are beginning your studies this upcoming semester, and have completed your online course registration, all four Smart Start modules will be available online via Blackboard Learn when you log into your myClass portal

Your UFV Orientation team will email you to let you know when access is available before the start of your first semester, so keep an eye on your UFV inbox!

What is covered in each Smart Start module?

Learn everything you need to know about studying at UFV — whether you’re on campus, or online — by completing all four Smart Start course modules. Each module focuses on a different theme, with content designed to prepare you for academic, professional, and personal success throughout your studies at UFV.
