Student Graduate Scholarship Workshop
The Research Office hosted a workshop for students who plan to apply for NSERC, SSHRC & CIHR scholarships for graduate school. Brad Whittaker, Director of Research Services, gave a presentation, going through an application step by step, and answered questions.

Research Option & Scholarly Activity (ROSA) Workshop
The Research, Engagement and Graduate Studies department facilitated a workshop to offer information and tips to faculty members interested in applying for either a Research Option or Scholarly Activity release for the 2018 - 2019 academic year.
The deadline for Research Option and Scholarly Activity applications is Tuesday October 31, 2017. Handbook guidelines and application forms can be found on our website.

Grant Writing Workshop
Each year the Research Office hosts a workshop where Brad Whittaker, Research Services & Industry Liaison, answers the question, "Why apply for a research grant?"
Participants receive tips on:
- Evaluating the funding source criteria
- Defining your purpose and objectives
- Writing your project summary
- Developing a manageable timeline
- Identifying potential outcomes, disseminations, and publications
