At this workshop you will receive information about what contributes to a successful application:
- Recognize what makes a good application
- Write a project summary, objectives, and goal statements
- Develop a detailed, clear timeline of activities
- Identify potential outcomes, disseminations, and publications.
Start planning now! Completed applications for 2018 -2019 will be due November 30, 2017, with other deadlines in September and October (e.g. to your Department/School, and your Dean).

Research Option & Scholarly Activity (ROSA) Workshop
The Research, Engagement and Graduate Studies department will be facilitating a workshop to offer information and tips to faculty members interested in applying for either a research option or scholarly activity release for the 2017 – 2018 academic year.

Each year the Research Office hosts a workshop where Brad Whittaker, Research Services & Industry Liaison, answers the question, "Why apply for a research grant?"
Participants receive tips on:
- Evaluating the funding source criteria
- Defining your purpose and objectives
- Writing your project summary
- Developing a manageable timeline
- Identifying potential outcomes, disseminations, and publications
