We share the air
UFV encourages members of the UFV community to avoid wearing scented products or using scented items. Read about UFV's Scent awareness program.
Exposure to certain scented products may trigger an adverse health reaction in another person. People with allergies, chemical sensitivities or certain medical conditions are most at risk.
Help limit a person's exposure to scents by learning more about scent awareness:
Scent-free products
UFV supports the use of scent-free products which are available at your local supermarket, pharmacy or in specialty stores. When buying scent-free alternative personal-care products, be aware of product descriptions. Fragrance–free, scent–free and unscented labels are used loosely meaning the product has less scent than the scented version of the same product from that manufacturer. Choosing products with these labels is still safer than choosing the scented versions.
