Senate is the academic governing body at UFV, responsible for managing academic policies, and advising the Board on policies of mutual interest. Senate business is conducted through its standing committees.

Extended Call for vacancies on the standing committees of Senate beginning 2017-18.

The Secretariat is extending the call for expressions of interest for the following vacancies on the standing committees of Senate, terms beginning August 1, 2017. The call for nominations will remain open until the positions are filled.

If you are interested in filling one of these vacancies, please complete the Expression of Interest fillable form and forward to monique.castonguay@ufv.ca. If you know others who would make a valuable contribution to Senate's standing committees, please encourage them to apply. We appreciate your assistance!

Term - August 1, 2017 to July 31, 2019
Monthly, Wednesday, Week 3, 2:30 to 4:30 pm

  • 3 faculty members

Graduate Studies Committee

Term - August 1, 2017 to July 31, 2019
Meetings:  Thursdays, Week 3, 9 - 11 am

  • 2 graduate students

Senate Research Committee

Term - August 1, 2017 to July 31, 2019
Meetings: Bi-monthly, Thursday, Week 1, 9-11 am (generally 4 meetings per year)

  • 1 undergraduate student

Senate Teaching and Learning Committee
Term - August 1, 2017 to July 31, 2019
Meetings: Bi-monthly, Thursdays, Week 2, 2:30 - 4:30 pm
