During 2024/2025 UFV did some substantial lighting retrofits in Buildings E, D, and G (Abbotsford) and Building Q (Chilliwack). There were also some small rooms in other buildings retrofitted too. While it might seem like a simple solution, there are big impacts that come with changing old lights to LED lighting. Besides saving a lot of energy, LED lights have a longer lifespan, better light quality, safer materials, and don't heat up when turned on. In some spaces we added more light switches with dimmable settings and occupancy sensors. All of this creates a more comfortable and productive space for our community!
