Walk the Walk of Active, Experiential Learning

Fall

This introductory course will introduce adult learning, experiential and active learning principles. In this course, learners will explore teaching methods to support these principles. Indigeous learning and reflective practice will be threaded throughout the course.

Building the Path to Student Success

Winter

In this course, learners will apply curriculum alignment principles to course design, instructional design (lesson planning) and assessment design. Indigenous learning will be threaded throughout the course. Time will be devoted to learner diversity, English Language Learning (ELL), and academic integrity.


Teaching and Learning celebrated its first “graduates” of its New Faculty Professional Development program. The participants came from a variety of programs and spent two semesters learning and sharing together. This year was a pilot for the program. With the input of the participants, adjustments will be made to prepare for a new cohort in September.
