Get ready for an intensive training session under the guidance of instructor, Matt Olafson as he immerses you in real-world applications and prepares you for the CWB test on June 10, 2025.
Wear cotton or wool clothing (no synthetic fibers), coveralls, and steel-toed boots. Bring safety glasses, hearing protection, welding helmet, gloves, and leathers or fire-retardant jacket. Respirator recommended.
If you do not bring appropriate clothing and footwear, your access to the welding shop will be limited.

This introductory one-day course is suitable for beginners looking to enhance their welding skills, whether to boost employability or to pursue as as passionate hobbyist. It is strongly recommended for agriculture students. This course covers all widely used welding processes, with the most common electrodes and the safe operation of oxy-fuel cutting equipment.
Wear cotton or wool clothing (no synthetic fibers), coveralls, and steel-toed boots. If you do not bring appropriate clothing and footwear, your access to the welding shop will be limited.
Bring a cap (or welding helmet if you have one), welding gloves and safety glasses as supply of equipment to borrow is limited.

Receive in-depth training on a variety of pipe welding procedures. You will practice multiple welding processes (SMAW, GTAW, FCAW, GMAW) and review WP's for the Class A syllabus and PWP's, working with engaged instructors who are subject material experts.
Wear cotton or wool clothing (no synthetic fibers), coveralls, and steel-toed boots. Bring safety glasses, hearing protection, welding helmet, gloves, and leathers or fire-retardant jacket. Respirator recommended.

Receive thorough instruction on industrial and light duty power sources, safe use of the equipment, electrical characteristics, appropriate wire selection, and operation of the GMAW process. Use different combinations of welding wires and welding gases, while learning most types of flat, horizontal, and vertical welding on mild steel plate.
Wear cotton or wool clothing (no synthetic fibers), coveralls, and steel-toed boots. If you do not bring appropriate clothing and footwear, your access to the welding shop will be limited.
Bring your own welding gloves and welding helmet as supply of equipment to borrow is limited.
