Looking for extra help but don’t want to book an appointment? Drop-in tutoring is free, flexible, and open to all students. Stop by during scheduled times to connect with a tutor, ask questions, and get the support you need.
How does drop-in tutoring work?
- Some of our drop-in rooms are reserved for students in specific areas or disciplines and some are for any student to use. The titles of the drop-in rooms tell you the subject area(s) and the names of the tutors.
- Each of the drop-in rooms is scheduled to recur at the same time each week until the end of the semester. So, if you find a time that works well for you, you can count on being able to drop in at that time with that tutor every week.
- You might see another student or two when you drop in. If all of the students are working on the same subject area, it's possible that the tutor will work with everyone as a group. If the questions you have are very different from the other students, then the tutor might choose to create a break-out room where just the two of you can meet.
Important: Tutors at the Academic Success Centre cannot provide support during or about your exams.

Study Hall
Drop in to a quiet study area with tutors available to assist as needed. All students are welcome in all Study Hall sessions; below is a list of the areas of specialization of the tutors working each evening.
- Sorry, but there are no evening study hall hours in F25. You are always welcome to drop in to use one of the ASC tables or computers for study purposes during regular hours (9am-5pm M-F)
Saturdays
Drop in to meet with a tutor or book an in-person appointment in advance. There are no online appointments on Saturdays.
