Math tutoring
ASC math tutors are upper-level UFV students who have been specially trained to work with Trades students. Working with a tutor is a great way to practice and improve your math skills in a supportive environment.
- On-campus drop-in
- Access our on-campus drop-in hours to stay on top of your work and seek guidance if you get stuck on a math formula. Check back in September for the drop-in schedule
- Online appointments
- Math tutoring is available online by appointment during the summer months (May to August).
- Email tara.corman@ufv.ca to book an online meeting with a math tutor.
Learning strategist consultations
Struggling to stay on top of your course work or looking to improve your test results? Meet with a learning strategist for one-on-one academic coaching. Here are just a few ways a learning strategist can help you reach your full potential at UFV:

How to enroll yourself in Trades Students askASC BrightSpace course
First self-enroll in the ASC's BrightSpace course called Trades Students askASC:
- Log into BrightSpace
- Use the navigation menu to go to the Discover section
- Click on the Trades Students askASC
- Click Enroll
- Click Submit
- Go back to your Homepage and click on Trades Students askASC. You can now access all content in the course.
