Community Health and Social Innovation (CHASI) Hub

The Community Health and Social Innovation (CHASI) Hub is a research centre that exists to improve life in our communities. We take a broad view of health: it's not only the physical, but also the social, mental, emotional, and economic well-being of us all.

As UFV’s Changemaking Hub, our mission is turning knowledge into action. Knowledge means our institution’s research expertise and our deep understanding of today’s toughest issues. Action means addressing any challenges that our community partners share with us.

CHASI is ready to help you...

  • Build a stronger community: Improving the well-being of individuals and our whole community isn't easy. It requires collaborative innovation and sustainable, accessible approaches.

  • Be a changemaker: CHASI’s nimble structure allows us to rapidly respond to new and evolving challenges regardless of scale. Combining that with deep, reciprocal relationships leads to lasting change.

  • Turn knowledge into action: We design our work to make the impacts our partners are seeking. That takes engaging presentation tailored for each project. Whether it’s a report, art, an interactive dashboard, or a curriculum, we make sure projects connect reaches the people who need it most.
