Don’t let sticker prices fool you. On-campus housing offers excellent value with convenient, all-inclusive pricing for a furnished unit with Wi-Fi and utilities, and leases can be as short as one term.
By comparison, a one-bedroom private rental in Abbotsford typically costs around $1,500/month plus $200+ for utilities and internet, not including furniture or deposits. Even shared two-bedroom apartments average over $1,000/month per person once all costs are added.
In contrast, UFV housing starts at about $850/month, and includes furniture, Wi-Fi, utilities, 24/7 support, fitness access, and campus life programming. For meals, students can choose from flexible campus meal plans, starting at $700/month, which removes the hassle of shopping, cooking, and cleaning. Plus, you avoid large upfront costs like security deposits and furniture purchases.
Don’t forget the extra value of living steps away from class, with a supportive community and events right where you live.
