Retirees' Association

Retirees' Association

Retirement begins a new chapter, but your connection to UFV continues. The UFV Retirees’ Association (UFVRA) brings retired faculty, staff, and administrators together to maintain meaningful ties with the university and with one another. We honour the contributions of retirees, celebrate shared memories, and create opportunities to stay engaged. Through events, mentorship, and advocacy, the UFVRA supports UFV’s mission, values, and tradition of collaboration.

If you worked at UFV for five years or more and have retired, you are invited to become a member of the UFVRA and continue to be part of the UFV community.

Become a member

If you worked at UFV for five years or more and have retired, you’re eligible to join the UFV Retirees’ Association (UFVRA). Membership keeps you connected through events and offers opportunities to mentor and support the UFV community.

If you are about to retire, you can join us too and get information about the experiences we’ve had with the pension plan and what retirement looks like. You can join UFVRA by going to the membership form — membership is free!

Because once you’re part of UFV, you’re always part of UFV.

Support the UFV community

Retirees continue to play an important role at UFV. By sharing knowledge and guidance, we can mentor students as they take on projects and plan their careers. We can also support their success by contributing to bursaries and scholarships, including the UFV Retirees Bursary, which provides vital financial assistance to students in need.

Our experience also benefits faculty, staff, and administration by providing history, context, and insights that help new colleagues understand the university and feel part of its community.

UFVRA is committed to helping you keep in touch with your fellow friends and colleagues, and the UFV community. We strive to stay engaged with the university and support its mission and students.
