Retirees' Association

About the UFVRA

Who we are

Three members of the UFVRA sitting at a table during a meeting. The UFV Retirees Association (UFVRA) is a community of former faculty, staff, and administrators who retired from UFV but want to stay connected with the university and the people in it. We are funded and supported by the university as well as funded to a small degree by memberships.

We are guided by a set of bylaws and guided by an elected board. We are not a society yet, so a constitution and bylaws are not required. We connect with members through email newsletters and updates periodically.

What we do

  • Support fellow retirees by fostering community and mutual encouragement
  • Support the university by contributing to its mission and goals
  • Support people through mentoring students, staff, faculty, and administration

"The UFV Retiree Association is more than a new initiative. It is a powerful expression of community. Of belonging that endures beyond a career, beyond a title, and beyond an office door. Community engagement at its core is about partnership and reciprocity. It’s about the mutually beneficial exchange of knowledge and resources."
