Stay connected with friends and colleagues—past and present—through events and activities all year long. Membership is free and keeps you linked to UFV, with opportunities to build new connections, even in local chapters beyond the Fraser Valley.

Why join the UFVRA?

UFVRA membership will help you stay connected with retired and working friends and colleagues from the university and, make new connections with others through activities and events held throughout the year. Membership will also keep you connected to the university and current and former colleagues. There may be opportunities to set up ‘chapters’ outside of the Fraser Valley that are local to your area such as Victoria, Comox-Courtney, Burnaby-Vancouver. This will evolve over time and at the discretion and voluntary work of members.

There are three types of members:

  • Members
  • Associate Members (spouses or partners of retirees),
  • Honorary Members (nominated for the distinction of "Honorary").

As a member, you’ll receive:

 

Free membership

Joining the UFV Retirees’ Association is free for all retired faculty, staff, and administrators. Stay connected without any cost, just the benefits of community, connection, and belonging. All you have to do is complete the membership application so we have up-to-date information.

 

Access to UFV services

Stay connected to the university with continued access to key UFV services, including library resources and campus facilities. You’ll also keep your UFV email, making it easy to maintain professional ties and stay in touch with colleagues and friends. If you don’t use your UFV email, please let us know your current email so we can stay in touch.

 

Invitation to UFV events

Enjoy invitations to special UFV events, gatherings, and activities throughout the year. From reunions and lectures to social outings, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to connect with fellow retirees and current colleagues.

 

News and updates

Stay in the loop with regular updates on UFV news, retiree initiatives, and upcoming events—keeping your ties strong with the university and your fellow retirees.
