About the newsletter

UFV's Office of the Vice President, Students publishes a weekly e-newsletter every Thursday to all registered students' UFV email inboxes. The newsletter highlights:

  • Important dates, deadlines, and announcements
  • Upcoming events and opportunities
  • Services and supports available to students

Submission Guidelines

To keep the newsletter relevant and useful for students, please follow these requirements:

Deadline

  • Submissions are due by Wednesday at 12:00 p.m. for inclusion in that week’s newsletter
  • Late submissions will be considered for the following week or future newsletter, as appropriate 

Content

  • Keep your entry brief (max. 400 characters / 3–4 sentences)
  • Include all relevant details in the description (e.g., headline, short description, date/time, location, website, registration link)
  • Focus on what students need or want to know (e.g., exam prep sessions, scholarship deadlines, workshops, events, services)
  • Content should be open to most or all students (not limited to one program, club, or group)

Images

  • Provide a high-quality square image, at least 300x300 pixels, in JPG or PNG format
  • Do not submit posters or images with a lot of text — these are not accessible as image text cannot be read by screen readers All important details must be written in your submission description
  • Do not upload PDFs or Word documents
  • If you do not have an image, we may use a stock image
  • Note: Images are only included for Events and Opportunities. 

How to Submit

Complete the online submission form with your content and image. Incomplete submissions may not be accepted.

Submit your news

Important: The Office of the Vice President, Students reserves the right to exclude submissions determined to fall outside of the newsletter mandate, and the right to edit submissions for clarity, consistency, and length. Failure to adhere to the guidelines above may result in the omission of your item from the newsletter.
