FAQs about MyGRADplan

What is MyGRADplan?

MyGRADplan is a web-based tool for students to monitor their academic progress toward degree, diploma or certificate completion. MyGRADplan allows students and their advisors to plan future academic coursework.

All UFV students are able to access MyGRADplan through MyUFV. Although only academic students will have a program audit, all students may use the What If feature to create sample program plans.

What is a program audit?

A program audit is a review of past, current and "planned" coursework that provides information on completed and outstanding requirements necessary to complete a degree/diploma/certificate/major/minor/concentration. The audit can be used as part of advising sessions to determine course selections and confirm graduation requirements.

The information in your program audit is based on the curriculum into which you were admitted. UFV's curriculum is dynamic and can change twice a year, in the Fall and in the Winter/Summer semesters. You should be aware that the program requirements shown for furture terms may change if you have been admitted prior to the publishing of its Calendar.

Why did I get a message that an audit of my program is not available?

Only students in Undergraduate and Graduate programs as well as some Continuing Education programs have program audits. Students pursuing other programs or in academic programs prior to Fall 2010 will not have program audits and will receive an warning or error message that an audit of their program is not available. If you get this message you may still use the What If feature to create sample audits of academic programs.

How is my program audit different from a transcript?

Your program audit is an unofficial document and can be viewed as a tool to provide you with academic information related to your program progress and help you plan your academic schedule. Your program audit is NOT your official transcript.

If my program audit is complete have I graduated?

Your program audit is not offical notification of competion of degree, diploma or certificate requirements. Students completing a credential are required to Apply to Graduate. The official graduation requirements are listed in the University of the Fraser Valley online Calendar. If there is any discrpancy between MyGRADplan and the official UFV Calendar the Calendar takes precedence.
