Planners shape the everyday spaces where life unfolds. From transportation networks to affordable housing, climate resilience to land stewardship, regional and community planners guide how places grow, change, and thrive. Their work is rooted in collaboration, grounded in evidence, and driven by a vision for equitable and sustainable futures.
The Bachelor of Regional and Community Planning (BRCP) at the University of the Fraser Valley equips students to respond to today’s complex planning challenges with insight, creativity, and ethical grounding. Through studio-based coursework, field practicums, and international learning opportunities, the program blends academic rigour with applied experience.
Students explore areas such as land use, environmental and Indigenous planning, transportation, and urban design—preparing them for professional roles or graduate studies. Whether entering university for the first time, pursuing a second degree, or advancing an existing career, BRCP students gain the skills and knowledge to support sustainable, inclusive, and resilient communities.
