Welcome to SPARC
Success Pathways to Academic Resilience and Connection (SPARC) is a program for UFV students who are experiencing academic challenges and want to get back to good academic standing. Our small team provides friendly, personalized, one-on-one support throughout the semester to help you figure out your next steps and meet your educational goals. We can also connect you with peer tutoring, learning groups, and other free resources at UFV that might be helpful to you.
What we can offer you
Want to improve your learning and study skills?
Our Learning Strategists can help you reflect on your strengths as a student, identify areas for growth, and develop effective learning strategies to improve your academic outcomes. In your first meeting with a Learning Strategist, we’ll get to know a little bit about you as a student and introduce you to a study skills inventory. Together, in a follow-up meeting, we’ll create a customized plan that includes practical learning and study strategies tailored to your goals, courses, and learning style, helping you build confidence and achieve greater academic success.
