Stan is a UFV Faculty Academic Advisor, specializing in science, but is also an Associate Professor with the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at UFV.

He is originally from Tonga, a small island country in the South Pacific. He completed his undergrad in Fiji (1994), during which he had the opportunity to study in the USA for one year in 1992 as an international exchange student. He later returned to the USA (University of Idaho) to complete his master's (1997), and later for his doctorate at UBC (2005). It was during his study at UBC that he married a Canadian but moved back to the South Pacific to work there for four years before returning permanently with his family to Canada in 2009. He also has one teenager who was born in Fiji.

Stan's interests include listening to music, home gardening, watching movies and sports, and rugby is his favorite.
