Past Field Schools and Study Tours

2017 Clayoquot Biosphere Field School

2015 New York and Washington DC Field School

2012 Ecuador Field School

In 2012, Debbie Wheeler and Gregory Schmaltz led a group of UFV students in the wilds of Ecuador to observe the lush flora and fauna of this beautiful land.

Ecuador, a land of rainforest and cloud forest, high altitude plains and snow-capped mountains, sun-kissed beaches and enchanted islands is one of the world’s richest biodiversity hotspots. It is a perfect setting for a biology field school and provides unparalleled opportunities for learning, teaching, and research.
