In 2012, Debbie Wheeler and Gregory Schmaltz led a group of UFV students in the wilds of Ecuador to observe the lush flora and fauna of this beautiful land.
Ecuador, a land of rainforest and cloud forest, high altitude plains and snow-capped mountains, sun-kissed beaches and enchanted islands is one of the world’s richest biodiversity hotspots. It is a perfect setting for a biology field school and provides unparalleled opportunities for learning, teaching, and research.
