Biography

Dr. Prevost was an Associate Professor in the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice. Dr. Prevost received her PhD from Simon Fraser University for her work on violence and aggression among young offenders in custody. She taught courses related to mental health, personality disorders, and crime. Her main research interests were in the area of personality and mental health, stigma and risk among vulnerable populations, juvenile justice, at-risk youth, and social media and psychological well-being. Dr. Prevost was a member of the Matsqui Institution Citizen Advisory Committee since 2012. 

Dr. Prevost's teaching interests included personality and mental health, developmental theory, serious and violent young offending, and psychological explanations of crime. She taught Crim 100 - Introduction to Criminology, Crim 105 - Psychological Explanations of Criminal and Deviant Behaviour, and Crim 216 - Psychopathy and the Criminal Justice System.
