Powerline Technician Orientation/Information Session

Cost: FREE

Participants will be invited to take part in a subsequent assessment interview process. Please note applicants will not undergo a physical test at the orientation/information session; their physical ability will be discussed during the interview. No prior line experience is necessary.

Women are strongly encouraged to consider a career as a Powerline Technician.

Program seats are limited.

Powerline Technician Pre-Apprenticeship Program

Cost: $13,210.00 tuition fee+$4,631.22 tools & textbooks
Prerequisite: Attendance at the Powerline Technician Orientation/Information Session is recommended.

Powerline Technicians construct, maintain and repair the overhead and underground electrical power transmission and distribution systems that make up the electrical power grid. This twelve-week program prepares you for entry into the electrical high voltage industry. Get hands-on training to learn how to put up and maintain electrical poles, towers, and guy wires as well as install or repair the live-line wiring and other components required to connect power distribution and transmission networks. In order to qualify, you strongly encouraged to attend the free orientation/information session.
