UFV's Agriculture Centre of Excellence facility officially opened on April 4, 2014, at the Chilliwack campus at Canada Education Park.
The Agriculture Centre of Excellence features:
- 783 m2 barn including a milking parlor, poultry, and swine areas.
- 600 m2 greenhouse with a multi-wall polycarbonate construction that provides a strong thermal rating and high energy efficiency. The height of the greenhouse allows it to retain the CO2 rather than venting it as excess heat.
- 2 x 225 m2 poly greenhouses.
- Outdoor classroom featuring raised beds, a pollinator garden, blueberry and agroforestry sections.
