email Alexander WebsiteAlex's research and teaching interests are mainly in the areas of moral, political, and social philosophy. Within those areas, he thinks most about issues explored in the subfields of Chinese philosophy, philosophy of games and sport, philosophy of race, and environmental philosophy. Thus far, some of the topics he has written on include Confucianism, affirmative action, and combat sports.
When not doing scholarly stuff, Alex usually spends most of his time doing two things. One is indulging his love of anime/manga and martial arts. The other is amateurishly expanding his vegan cooking repertoire, which involves includes trying to figure out the perfect way to air fry different varieties of tofu (where perfection = the optimal balance of convenience and deliciousness).
