The Truth about Sexual Strangulation: Consent, Risk, and Reality
It shows up in pop culture and dating conversations as choking, but what do we actually know about consensual sexual strangulation? This hybrid webinar (in person + MS Teams) provides clear, research-based information about what consensual sexual strangulation is, the risks involved, and why informed consent and safety matter.
Facilitated by Dr. Amanda McCormick, Associate Professor of the UFV School of Criminology and Criminal Justice and student researcher Bethany Parkinson, this is a non-judgmental, informative session centered on empowerment to make informed choices.
