Course planning sessions for Fall 2025

Program planning and course registration are important steps to prepare for the upcoming semester, especially if you're a new student at UFV. Be sure to join one of our course planning sessions to:

Learn more about your program
Find out which courses to choose for your first semester
Learn how to access the timetable and build your schedule/register for courses

How to apply from Qualifying Studies to your goal program

If you are currently in the Qualifying Studies (QS) program with a GPA of 2.0 or higher, you may be eligible to apply to your goal program! To support you in this process, UFV Academic Advising is hosting a series of virtual information sessions where you can:

Learn more about program application requirements.
Understand the steps to successfully apply to your desired program.
Ask any questions you may have about the process.

Information Session for Prospective Bachelor of Science in Nursing students

Are you interested in applying to UFV's Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program in Chilliwack? Join us for an upcoming virtual session where UFV Academic Advisors will review admission requirements, the application process, and details about the BSN program. This is a great opportunity to get your questions answered and learn more about what it takes to succeed in the program.

International immigration workshops — Study permit/Work permit (for current students)

Various dates throughout the semester

You will learn all you need to know about study and work permits in order to make the most of your new Canadian life. You can also get your questions answered about the benefits of getting a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP), while you consider whether to continue your studies or apply to work in Canada.

International one-on-one virtual drop-ins (for future and current students)

Drop-ins are offered on a first-come, first-serve basis and can be booked daily from 8 am

Choose from three topics:

Study/work permit with John Fernando
Registration and English upgrading support with Hong Qiao
Account and fees with Leah Carr

Teacher Education seminars (for future students)

Various dates throughout the semester

Are you thinking about a teaching career? If you are in the first, second, or third year of your undergraduate program and you are thinking of entering the Bachelor of Education at UFV, we recommend that you attend one of the Teacher Education information seminars.

Masters of Education Q&A drop-in sessions (for future students)
