PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

In a world so connected by technology, communication and design skills are becoming a workplace imperative. As the digital landscape continues to evolve, the ability to communicate clearly and persuasively across various platforms and channels is essential for individuals and organizations alike. The Post-Baccalaureate Diploma (PBD) in Digital Communication and Promotion at UFV addresses the critical skills gap in today's digital economy, equipping you with practical, professional skills essential for success in diverse sectors.

By blending traditional academic knowledge with hands-on training, the Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Digital Communication and Promotion program ensures that you are well-prepared to thrive in the modern workplace. With a focus on both local and global communication strategies, including multicultural perspectives, Indigenous ways of knowing, and knowledge applied to communication and design, the PBD fosters a holistic understanding of digital communication.

Additionally, this program expands the boundaries and application of skills training both within the context of the School of Communication and through interdisciplinary collaboration with departments such as Graphic + Digital Design and Media and Communication Studies. Practical skills combined with theory, taught across several courses, will help you create a solid foundation in digital communication to pursue multiple careers or prepare for graduate work.

CAREER EXPECTATIONS

This two-year PBD is designed for students with a bachelor’s degree in any field of study who are interested in pursuing employment in careers where digital skills in communication and promotion are an asset. The program is designed to work well with all bachelor’s degree holders, regardless of their concentration or the country in which they attained their first degree. Skills acquired through this PBD will directly relate to both the top Canadian employability and innovation skills, and will also be internationally relevant.
