Students who receive a BC Achievement, District Authority, or BC Excellence Award have three options to redeem their scholarship voucher.
Option 1: Redeem online through the Ministry of Education website
No stamp or signature required.
- Go to Redeem My Scholarship.
- Scroll down to ”How do I redeem my scholarship voucher if I cannot get it stamped and signed?”
- Collect the required documents:
- Receipt of payment (available in myUFV or from the Office of the Registrar)
- Verification of enrolment (print from myUFV)
- Follow the Ministry’s online submission instructions.
Option 2: Drop off at UFV
Bring your voucher to Financial Aid & Awards during office hours at either campus:
- Abbotsford (B214)
- Chilliwack (A1318)
After hours: Use the drop slot at Abbotsford campus, near Student Services (B214), below the Financial Aid info boards.
Option 3: Mail your voucher to UFV

Important notes
- If you chose to drop off or mail your voucher to our offices, ensure your address, SIN number, and email are filled in on the voucher.
- If your address has changed, cross it out and write the new one.
- Once received, UFV will complete, scan, and email your voucher back so you can redeem it online through the Ministry of Education online redemption process.
- Once processed, the Ministry of Education will mail your cheque directly to you.
- Scholarships act like a reimbursement — they cannot be applied directly to your UFV student account. Redemption occurs after you have registered, paid, and attended classes.
