Contact Kinesiology

Kristen has worked as an Academic Advisor at UFV since January 2010. She has a B.A. in Kinesiology from the University of Lethbridge, and a M.Ed. from Simon Fraser University in Educational Leadership in Post-Secondary and Student Affairs. She advises BKin students on both the Abbotsford and Chilliwack campuses. She has a robust understanding of the post-secondary system as she has worked for three universities, both in Alberta and BC, in various departments such as Athletics/Recreation, Recruitment and Advising.

Kristen enjoys all things related to sports, health and wellness. She has been an athlete all her life playing softball, basketball, volleyball and still plays on a metro women’s soccer team. She was a lifeguard and taught swimming lessons as well as lifesaving courses. She is very interested in learning/practicing overall health optimization and applying those skills to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
