Expanded Learnings is a separate stream of Xwelítem Siyáya designed for participants who have already completed prerequisite learning through the program. These advanced, stand-alone Modules (3 hours) and experiential Workshops (5 hours) provide opportunities to build on previous learning and explore Indigenous–settler relations and reconciliation in greater depth through practical application, engagement, and continued learning.
Eligibility for individual Expanded Learnings offerings may vary. Participants who have completed prerequisite Xwelítem Siyáya learning, as well as individuals identified through the program’s community and advisory relationships, may be eligible to participate.
Winter 2027 Expanded Learning Module
The Winter 2027 Expanded Learning Module (3 hours), led by Kwelexwelsten (Brandon Gabriel), is being offered specifically for participants from previous Xwelítem Siyáya programs and those identified by our Stó:lō partner organizations.
Expanded Learnings build upon the listening, unlearning, and understanding that takes place through Foundations, creating opportunities for participants to move into deeper engagement, continued learning, and action. This 3-hour Module invites participants to build on and deepen learning they have previously encountered through Xwelítem Siyáya, with space for guided discussion, reflection, relationship, and continued exploration.
The Module will unfold through Brandon's teachings and the engagement of those participating, allowing space for the learning to develop relationally over the course of the morning.

The invitation to participate and registration link will be shared directly with eligible Xwelítem Siyáya participants from 2023–2025. Further details about the Module will be shared with registered participants.
