Upgrading and University Preparation

Volunteer experience

Volunteer in the classroom

Volunteering is a great way to develop skills and gain work experience, give back and help others but also have fun and meet new people.

Through the Upgrading and University Preparation (UUP) department, you can volunteer in a UUP classroom at different levels.

Apply to become a volunteer.

Experiential learning student profile

The Experiential Learning Student Profile (formerly known as the Co-Curricular Record), powered by CareerLink, is now available! This new system allows you to add your participation in UFV activities, leadership roles, work placements, and other experiential learning activities you deem valuable to a central, accessible record for future use. CareerLink is a flexible and modern system that will help you organize and record your personal achievements, work experience, and learning activities both on and off-campus in preparation for future work opportunities, resume building, grad school applications and more.

Upgrading through UFV was absolutely the right decision for me. I could get my foot in the door at a wonderful university, and despite having not yet completed high school, I feel like a real university student! The upgrading courses are fun and have a relaxed environment — allowing you to thrive and flourish academically.
