Drop-in sports

FREE WEEK runs September 8-18, 2025. Try out any of our organized drop-in sports or join the intramural leagues timeslots before registration closes on September 17, 2025). Schedule is listed on the Xplor Recreation portal

Have fun, be active and meet new people. Drop-in sports are open to anyone who has purchased a Peak Pass Membership or has purchased a drop-in pass. Suitable for all skill levels. When attending a drop-in session, please check-in at the Client Service desk (E150) or scan your membership at the sign-in kiosk.

There are two types of drop-in:

Open Court | Gym Sports: Approved sports for open court include basketball, badminton, pickleball, and spikeball. Equipment is available for sign-out with your UFV Campus Card. Pre-planning and approval is required for volleyball, futsal, dodgeball and cricket. Inquires can be made at 604-557-4041

Organized Drop-in: Recreation staff are on site to organize casual games and monitor the facilities. Most organized drop-in sports have an Intramural league options available, if you wish to commit to weekly games.

How to participate

  • All participants are required an have an active Peak Pass Membership or purchase one of our pass options. This includes reading and signing a waiver prior to participating.
  • All drop-in sports are first-come-first-serve and will be the active on Xplor Recreation
  • Organized drop-in sports have a Sports Organizer (student leaders) who is on site and will help arrange teams, sign participants and hand out equipment.
  • All participants must wear athletic clothing and non-marking shoes when participating in recreation activities. 
  • Staying hydrated while playing a sport is important; ensure empty bottles are placed in garbage bins.*

*Food and beverages like coffee, hot chocolate, and icecaps are not allowed in the gym during drop-in sports or league play.
