Biography

If you ask Angie why she works at UFV, she will crack a smile and tell you she enjoyed her student experience so much that she decided not to leave.

Her UFV journey started as a student in the Bachelor of Arts program, holding work-study positions as a Research Assistant and Arts Advice Centre Assistant. After graduation, she gained a wealth of experience and skills across the university as an auxiliary. Angie first joined the Professional Studies Dean’s Office team in 2016 as the Administrative Assistant and then changed positions the following year, becoming the Committees Assistant. When Faculty restructuring occurred in 2022, Angie transferred to the Education, Community, and Human Development Dean's Office.

Angie’s professional interests include mentorship, web and social media management, event planning, and challenging the status quo. She is never satisfied with “that’s how it has always been done” and always looks for creative or efficient ways to improve the office environment and procedures. She values creativity and fun in the workplace, striving to incorporate both into every project and team she participates in.

Off campus, Angie can be found lounging with her pets or enjoying a local concert. Her passions include animals, photography, and enjoying BC’s beautiful nature.
