Project description
This project involved the translation, transcription, and indexing of handwritten 19th century journals of one of the earliest French Catholic missionaries stationed in Stó:lō territory. These journals, having been copied from an archive in Rome by Dr. Carlson, had not previously been translated into English and consequently provided rare insights into the minds of early missionaries at a critical time in BC’s history.
Student involvement
