Project description
This project supported the creation of a comprehensive digital archive for Matsqui First Nation, consolidating decades of community materials including technical reports, maps, archival records, and historical documents into an accessible, searchable resource. The resulting database strengthens community access to their own history and will directly inform the Matsqui community history book being written in partnership with Dr. Keith Carlson.
Student involvement
Students digitized materials that were not yet in electronic form and indexed, catalogued, and organized all items into a searchable system. Their work ensured ease of access for Matsqui leadership and community members and contributed essential groundwork for the forthcoming community history book.
