Project description
Alongside Research and Consulting is partnering with the Stó:lō Research and Resource Management Centre to develop and deliver a land-based course supporting the revitalization of cultural identity among Stó:lō youth. Centred on respectful land and resource use, stewardship, and governance, the course brings Elders, Knowledge Keepers, and youth together to strengthen cultural connections and place-based learning.
Student involvement
The student supported the Alongside team in preparing and delivering each session, coordinated transportation for Elders, and helped supervise youth during activities. They conducted background research on key curricular themes and assisted with audio and video recording to document elements of the program.
