The GIS skills I developed through my applied GIS courses at UFV have significantly enhanced my role as Assistant Project Manager at CityWest for the Connected Coast project. This initiative, funded by the federal and BC governments, is a collaboration between Strathcona Regional District and CityWest to connect approximately 139 communities along the BC coast, from north of Prince Rupert to Haida Gwaii, and extending south to Vancouver and around Vancouver Island. I am grateful for the many opportunities to apply my GIS expertise, particularly in preparing maps for both external and internal stakeholders.
