This provincial grant helps adults who are enrolled in skills upgrading, developmental education and training courses. Depending on your financial need, you may be eligible to receive funding to help cover the cost of:
- Mandatory Fees (Ancillary, ELW, & Student Union and Society fees)
- Textbooks
- Supplies
- Technology
- Transportation
- Unsubsidized Childcare
- Tuition (for Workplace TASK program courses)
Note: Room and board costs are not funded
Eligibility
You may be eligible if you:
- Are a Canadian citizen, permanent resident/landed immigrant, or protected person
- Live in BC (and continue to reside in BC while receiving AUG)
- Are enrolled in one or more of the following approved programs (and courses)
- Adult Basic Education (ABE)
- Workplace TASK program (AET)
- ESL – English as a Second Language - Have a demonstrated financial need (see table of family income limits on the AUG application form)
