Your next great hire starts here
Employers are key partners in helping our students build their future careers. The Centre for Experiential and Career Education (CECE) offers employers various forms of recruitment services to build connections with students and alumni on and off campus. Here’s how CECE can help you meet with candidates to find your next hire, build your organization’s brand, and lend your expertise within the UFV community:
Access a pool of eager, motivated, and talented UFV Co-op students for your short and long-term human resources needs. Co-operative Education (Co-op) combines academic studies with relevant work experience. Academic semesters alternate with work terms, giving students up to two years of relevant work experience. Visit Hire a Co-op Student for more information.
Posting job or volunteer opportunities on CareerLink
CareerLink, our self-serve online job board, allows you to reach a large student and alumni talent pool looking for work. Visit CareerLink for Employers for full details on how to create an account and post your opportunities.

Join us at the Virtual Pacific Career Fair (VPCF)! In October and March, the VPCF connects employers to students and alumni from the Fraser Valley to the North Shore to enable employers to market current and upcoming opportunities directly to skilled talent. Visit Virtual Pacific Career Fair for information on important dates, costs, registration and more.
Spotlighting recruitment opportunities on social media*
Share a recruitment opportunity or networking event with UFV students and alumni by tagging UFV CECE (@ufvjobs) on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn at least two weeks before the event. We review and approve social media reposts on a case-by-case basis.
Distributing posters on campus*
Promote a recruitment opportunity or networking events with UFV students and alumni by mailing CECE printed copies of posters a minimum of two weeks prior to the event. Include your organization’s name, the date and time of the event, and a Quick Response (QR) Code to a website for students to obtain more information. See Contact Us for our mailing address.
Holding a virtual information session*
Advertise a virtual information session to UFV students and alumni by tagging UFV CECE (@ufvjobs) on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn at least two weeks before the event.
Sharing your expertise through Career Education
Build early connections and relationships with the UFV community through Career Education, providing students and alumni with learning opportunities that are meaningful and relevant to their career development. Invited employers share their expertise by participating in events that are open to students and alumni from all program areas. Examples of events include career panels, speed resume reviews and mock interviews. To get involved with Career Education opportunities, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Partnering with Experiential Learning
Join our classrooms as guest speakers, industry experts, business mentors, and challengers of work-specific problems. Provide UFV students with practical experience, industry insight, community networks, and confidence in pursuing their future careers. Visit Experiential Learning for more information.
*Only employers who have been approved in CareerLink are eligible to have their opportunities shared. Social media, posters, and information sessions will be reviewed and approved on a case-by-case basis.
