The Office of the Registrar supports the scheduling of final exams for academic courses. On this page you will find information about the final exam schedule, student responsibilities, and other important resources.
Winter 2026 final exams will run from April 13, 2026 to April 23, 2026.
The schedule will be available to students at the end of January.
Students are expected to wait until the final exam schedule becomes available before making travel, work, or personal plans.
Once published, carefully check the UFV final exam schedule, making note of following for each of your scheduled exams:
Attend the final examinations scheduled for your classes with your UFV student ID card.
If you anticipate missing an exam due to illness or extenuating circumstance, contact your instructor immediately to discuss alternatives.
Note: in-person exams may apply to some online courses.
Final exams take place at the end of each term.
The schedule is created each semester after instructors submit their exam needs. The Office of the Registrar releases the final exam schedule approximately 4 weeks after classes begin, showing the date, time, and location for each exam. Note: Not all courses require final exams.

The Office of the Registrar makes every effort to avoid final exam conflicts and hardships. However, these issues can occur due to certain factors. Student exam conflicts are defined as:
Students who have an exam conflict should contact their course instructor directly to make alternate arrangements, and upon agreement, follow Assessment Services procedures for booking an exam, https://www.ufv.ca/assessment/book-an-exam/ufv-students/.
Although not considered an exam conflict, students may contact their instructor to discuss an accommodation if they have:
Students registered with the Centre for Accessibility Services (CAS) are eligible for exam accommodations.

Are you looking for a quiet place to study for your exam?
The second floor of the Abbotsford library is dedicated to silent study. In Chilliwack, the quiet area can be found along the south wall of the library. Note: these are drop in spaces.
In addition, the library has two types of study spaces in the Abbotsford and Chilliwack that are bookable by current UFV students:
Online final exams will be identified on the final exam schedule with a location of ONLINE. Students will be required to access myClass on the date and time listed on the schedule, to participate in the synchronous online final exam.
It is important to note that in-person exams may apply to some online courses.
Instructors will provide this information on the course syllabus at the first class. If due to your location or circumstances you are unable to attend the in-person exam for your online course, contact your course instructor immediately.

UFV remains open under normal winter conditions; however, campus may close due to severe weather conditions. When this occurs, updates will be posted to the www.ufv.ca home page.
If the University closes during the final exam period, and you were scheduled to write an exam during the closure, your instructor will contact you by email regarding your specific exam(s).
Note: if the university is open, you are expected to attend your exam(s) as scheduled.
Log in to myUFV, click My Account, open the UFV Alerts card, and subscribe to email, SMS, or both to stay updated on any campus closures during finals.
