The FVRSF is a great place to showcase your knowledge in science! You will have the opportunity to meet other students and people from the Fraser Valley community who are interested in science and technology. You could also win the chance to travel to the national competition, the Canada-Wide Science Fair.
The Fraser Valley Regional Science Fair (FVRSF) is a yearly event. Each year the fair is held the first week of April. You can find the schedule here.
The FVRSF is held at the University of the Fraser Valley, Abbotsford Main Campus. In 2024 we moved to the Student Union Building, Evered Hall.
The fee is $40 per student; a 2-student project is $50.

The Fraser Valley Regional Science Fair is open to all students in the Fraser Valley area in a grade equivalent to K – 12. A student’s grade is determined by their 1701 status with the BC Ministry of Education (this applies to all kids in BC public and private). In the absence of this information, the Fraser Valley Regional Science Fair (FVRSF) Organizing Committee would need to base eligibility on the child’s birth year (the regular determinant for 1701 status).
Any student in Grades 7-12, who attends school or is home-schooled in the Fraser Valley school district (Langley, Abbotsford, Maple Ridge/Pitt Meadows, Mission, Chilliwack and Hope) is eligible to compete.
