After School Science Club!
Super Science Club is a partnership between the UFV Faculty of Science and Science World which provides students the opportunity to participate in a hands-on science club! Our goal is to provide students in grades 1-6 with engaging after school STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) experiences through exciting demonstrations, hands-on investigations, active games, and more.
UFV science students are trained by Science World to deliver fun and informative after-school science activities to children in the Fraser Valley.
Since 2010 UFV students have been delivering the Super Science Club program to schools including Aberdeen Elementary, Alexander Elementary, Blue Jay Elementary, Ecole Centennial Park Elementary, Eugene Reimer Middle, Gordie Howe Middle, Mountain Elementary, Mt. Lehman Elementary, Ten Broek Elementary, Bernard Elementary, Central Elementary, Evans Elementary, Deroche Elementary, Greendale Elementary, Rosedale Elementary and Yarrow Community School.
Weekly Club
The Super Science Club usually runs from 3:15-4:30 pm once a week and we can run primary groups for grades 1-3 and/or intermediate groups for grades 4-6. The program covers 4-5 weeks of activities!

Science World Family Membership
If students have good attendance and uphold the SSC Code of Conduct, they receive a one-year family membership to Science World at the end of the program! These memberships are for immediate family only, up to 2 adults and 4 children per membership. If two children in SSC are siblings, they will receive only one membership for their family.
Family Science Night
Science World opens its doors to families of current Super Science Club participants, their teachers and site liaisons for one evening typically in May and June. There will be hands-on activities and the opportunity to explore Science World exhibits with the whole family.

Job opportunities
If you are a UFV student with a passion for science and love working with kids, keep your eyes open for job postings at the beginning of the semester. The job includes doing cool science activities with groups of elementary kids as part of after-school programs. Science World provides all the training and you will be using their curriculum.
