Faculty of Science
The Faculty of Science offers Science Rocks! Summer camps every year in July and August. Designed especially for kids going into Grades 4, 5, 6, and 7 for the upcoming Fall. These camps are great fun and an awesome learning opportunity for campers!
Each of our camps run from 9-4 each day, with drop off between 8:30-9 am and pick up between 4-4:30 pm. Lunch and a camp t-shirt are included with camp fees.
Science Rocks FlyerEach camp week will be organized around a central theme. Each day one or two activities will focus on that week's theme. Over a given week, campers can expect to experience activities from Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Agriculture, and Computer Science. Many of the weeks will also include activities from Geography and Kinesiology. 3D Printing is also worked into many of our camps!

Summer Camp Prices (subject to change)Early bird cost for one-week camp is $TBD. (Early Bird Rate available until April 30, 2026) Please note: short weeks are discounted. Cancellations/Refund Policy: All refund requests are subject to a $25 administration fee. Written notice received prior to 14 days (or more) before the start of camp will be eligible for a refund, minus the administration fee. If the refund is being requested 13 days to 7 days before the first day of camp, a 50% refund will be issued, minus the administrative fee. If the refund is being requested in writing 6 days before camps starts, no refunds will be issued. If the refund request is due to a medical reason a doctor’s note may be required for a refund request. Requests for refunds can be sent to sciencerocks@ufv.ca. UFV reserves the right to cancel any event or program for any reason; in this case, a full refund will be issued with no administration charge. Cancellations will be communicated via email and refunds will be processed. Waitlist PolicyIf a waitlist spot becomes available, individuals on the waitlist will be contacted via email from ufvcampus.rec@ufv.ca in the order they were added. Once notified, registrants will have 48 hours to accept the available spot. If the spot is not accepted within the 48 hour timeframe, the spot will be offered to the next person on the waitlist, and the unresponsive registrant will be placed back on the waitlist. Group PolicyOur programming is designed and intended for individual families. Having a group (local or visiting) register for our programming greatly impacts the quality of the individual camper’s experience; something that is extremely important to us. Please note that we will withdraw all campers without a refund who are found in breach of our group registration policy at any point before or after programming begins. |
Student-leader ratios28 campers/week and 3 leaders per camp. In addition to the leader-facilitators, one or more UFV Science Faculty members will be on-site at all times. |
Camp locationsThe camps will be held on both Abbotsford and Chilliwack campuses and will be run both indoors and outside, dependent on weather and activity.
