The management, administration, and control of the property, revenue, business and affairs of the University of the Fraser Valley are vested in its Board of Governors.
The Chancellor is the ceremonial head of the University of the Fraser Valley, presiding over Convocation and conferring UFV credentials (degrees, diplomas, and certificates).
Dr. Joanne MacLean is the President and Vice-Chancellor of the University. Her office reports to the Board of Governors.
The University Secretariat is responsible for supporting the university governing bodies — the Board of Governors and the Senate, as well as their standing and ad hoc committees.
The Senate is the academic governing body at UFV responsible for policies concerning academic matters and advising the Board on policies of mutual interest.
